I bought this for my old dell inspiron 5100 laptop. It works GREAT and it was a great price. Dell wanted to charge me 60 bucks for another one after it finally gave out. I recommend this product.

The power cords on ALL of my laptops eventually wear out at the coupling site. This is a manufacturing issue that needs to be addressed! Back to my review…this power cord replacement does the job, was inexpensive and saved this computer. I was not willing to pay over $50 as this is an older Dell (drifting cursor another issue). For very little money I was able to get more time off of this unit. Good product / good price. Got my moneys worth.

This is the second one I ordered. To be fair the first was OK. This second one was dead on arrival. I will try them again. It is a good value and I hope it was just a
glitch. I give it 2 stars one good one dead. Not that its a hassle to return- Amazon is great , but where is the quality control ? 50% failure rate so far is not acceptable at any price.

The item arrived on time but I had to return it because it actually doesn’t meet the power requirements of the Dell 5100. This power supply is 70 watts and the laptop needs 90 watts.My computer gives me warnings that it is not charging correctly. Also the interface to the computer is too loose. I sent this thing back for a refund.
