This is a good value. It gave approx 3.5 hours battery life to my wife’s R61e Thinkpad. No problems, and this is the OEM part rather than a third-party replacement. I would recommend this either as a replacement or spare.

This battery works fine in the laptop however I continue to receive an error message saying that it is not an authorized Lenovo product and should be replaced. Other than being a little annoying (having to clear it) there have been no problems.

Looks like I’ll have to return it – what a pain. Tried uninstalling the Lenovo Power Manager software that warned this battery invalidates the warranty (which is needed as the T60 series fan burns out once a year).
Noticed the charge indicator stayed at 72% so I tried a Bat. reset (using XP software). Reset indicator showed but the bat did not discharge.
Unplugged AC source and battery decreased to 40%, plugged back in and indicator stays at 40%. Not charging.
